75 Venturers, Sea scouts and Leaders honored Silver, Ranger, and
Quartermaster award recipients. The Council’s first presentation of the
Venturing Leadership Awards was made to 5 youth and 3 adults. The catered dinner
was a fantastic meal of TriTip, Beef & Pork Ribs and BBQ Chicken! No one
left hungry. After the recognition ceremony was a fun evening of dancing, movies
and PARTYING! A few of us brought our sleeping bags and made it a night, waking
to a wonderful breakfast.

The party started after a tremendous amount of planning and leg
work by Jen R of Crew 223 and the Las Colinas Dist Exec, Jon
Cieslak. Crew 223 came early and decorated the Josepho
Lodge to truly make it a party atmosphere. Jen kicked off
the night around 6:30. Charles V (crew 223) called
forward the color guard, then Marc D (Crew 22) gave the
invocation.
